What this does
Converts a YAML or JSON document to TOML. The input format is detected automatically: valid JSON is read as JSON, anything else is read as YAML, and the result says which one it used.
What TOML cannot hold
- The top level must be a mapping. A bare list or scalar is rejected.
- TOML has no null. If a value is null the error gives its path, for example
servers[1].region. - TOML files hold one document, so multi-document YAML must be split first.
Example
ports: [80, 443] becomes ports = [ 80, 443 ]; a list of mappings becomes an array of tables written as [[servers]]. Comments are not carried over.
