What this does
Paste any JSON and format it with consistent indentation, minify it to a single line, or validate it without changing it. Switch to the tree view to explore nested objects and arrays by collapsing and expanding each level, with a type badge shown next to every value.
How it works
The tool parses your input with the browser's own JSON parser. When something is wrong, it reports the exact line and column of the problem instead of a generic error, for example a missing comma between two properties is reported as Expected ',' or '}' after property value in JSON at position 8 (line 1 column 9). "Sort keys" rewrites every object's keys alphabetically, recursively, before formatting — useful for diffing two JSON files.
