What this does
Deletes blank lines from pasted text, for example to tidy a list copied from a spreadsheet or collapse the gaps in a log. Other lines are left untouched, including their indentation.
Empty versus blank
An empty line has no characters at all. A whitespace-only line contains spaces or tabs, so it looks empty but is not. By default both kinds are removed; untick “Also remove whitespace-only lines” to remove only truly empty ones.

If you only want to limit consecutive blank lines to one, rather than remove them all, use the Text Transformer's “Normalize whitespace” and set the maximum blank lines to 1. The toolbar above also switches to trimming, deduplicating, and sorting the same text.
