What this does
Generate random integers between a minimum and maximum (both inclusive), or random decimals with a fixed number of places. Ask for up to 10,000 values at once and turn on "Unique values" to draw without repeats, like pulling numbers from a hat.
Fair by construction
Values come from crypto.getRandomValues with rejection sampling, so every number in the range is exactly equally likely. There is no modulo bias, even for ranges that do not divide evenly into the random source. Integer ranges use arbitrary-precision arithmetic, so bounds like 0 to 99999999999999999999 work.
Decimals
A decimal range with 2 places between 0 and 1 has 101 possible values (0.00 to 1.00), and each is equally likely. Up to 9 decimal places are supported.
Examples
- Dice roll: min 1, max 6.
- Lottery picks: min 1, max 49, count 6, unique values on.
- Test fixtures: min 1000, max 9999, count 100.
