What this does
Checks TOML against the 1.0 specification and reports whether it is valid, how many top-level keys it has, and how many tables.
Typical mistakes it finds
- A key defined twice, or a table redefined after it was implied by a dotted key.
- Unquoted string values:
name = appinstead ofname = "app". - Mixed-up table and array-of-tables headers,
[servers]against[[servers]]. - Invalid numbers, such as a leading zero or a doubled underscore, and impossible dates.
The error includes the line, the column, and a short excerpt of the source.
