What this does
Splits a list of OAuth scopes however it was written (spaces, commas, new lines, a percent-encoded scope= parameter, or a JSON array), removes duplicates, optionally sorts it, and writes it back out in the form you need.
Formats
- Space separated: the only form OAuth 2.0 defines (RFC 6749), used in requests and token responses.
- Comma separated: used by some providers and configuration files.
- One per line and JSON array: handy for config and code.
scope=parameter: percent-encoded, ready to paste into a query string.
Standard scopes
The table explains the OpenID Connect scopes: openid, profile, email, address, phone, andoffline_access, including which claims each one unlocks. Any other scope is defined by the provider, so check its documentation. A scope token may not contain spaces, double quotes, or backslashes, and the page flags those.
