NDJSON & JSON Lines Viewer

Browse NDJSON or JSON Lines files as records or a table, with invalid lines flagged by line number.

What this does

Opens NDJSON (newline-delimited JSON, also called JSON Lines or .jsonl) and lets you browse it record by record. Log exports, data dumps, and streaming APIs commonly use this format: one complete JSON value per line.

Views

  • Records lists each line with its source line number and a one-line preview. Expand a record to explore it as a collapsible tree.
  • Table turns the records into a sortable, filterable table with nested objects flattened into columns.

Bad lines

A broken line does not stop the rest from loading. Each invalid line is flagged with its line number, column, a reason, and an excerpt, and the summary counts valid, invalid, and blank lines. Use Show only invalid lines to review just the failures. Blank lines are ignored and Windows line endings are accepted.

Large files

Files are read and parsed locally. Parsing of large input runs in a background worker, the first 20,000 non-blank lines are kept for browsing while the counts cover every line, and input over 25 million characters is refused.

Privacy

Everything runs in your browser. Your input is never uploaded, stored, or put in the page URL.
